What we advise on

Consulting services

Each study ends in a document you can use to decide, tender or hold a contractor to.

Before you buy

  • Load & tariff study

We read 12 months of bills and 15-minute meter data against your tariff to find what drives the cost.

    Deliverable: Load & tariff report

  • Energy & power-quality assessment

Power factor, harmonics, voltage dips and contract demand, with the low-cost fixes to try before any battery.

Deliverable: Assessment note with first steps

  • Storage feasibility & sizing

Power (kW), energy (kWh), duration and degradation, sized to the jobs the battery must do, with every assumption shown.

Deliverable: Feasibility report with sizing options

  • Technology selection

Battery chemistry, cabinet or container, AC or DC coupling and cooling, chosen for your site and climate.

    Deliverable: Technology options note

  • Solar, storage & genset studies

How storage changes solar self-use and genset running hours, and the controls that make them work together.

    Deliverable: Hybrid operating concept

  • EV charging site & fleet studies

Charger mix, connection size, tariff category and depot power, and whether a battery beats a transformer upgrade.

Deliverable: Charging site or fleet plan

  • Technical due diligence

An independent review of design, equipment, warranties, contracts and performance for lenders, investors and buyers.

    Deliverable: Due-diligence report

  • Tender & bid support

Specifications, bid documents and compliance matrices for storage or charging tenders.

Deliverable: Tender specification or compliance matrix

  • Compliance & approvals roadmap

What the CEA, the Electrical Inspectorate, your DISCOM, the fire service and the battery-waste rules require, and when.

    Deliverable: Compliance checklist & timeline

While it's built

  • Owner's engineer & factory tests

Specifications, bid evaluation, design review, factory test witnessing and site supervision on your behalf.

Deliverable: Specification & bid evaluation matrix

  • Safety & risk review

A hazard review of layout, spacing, ventilation, detection and suppression, with an emergency response plan.

Deliverable: Safety design memo & response plan

Once it's running

  • CEA 2027 readiness review (existing BESS)

The CEA's battery-storage safety chapter requires an independent fire-safety audit for systems connected above 650 V from 1 April 2027. We list the gaps and prepare the audit pack; we are not the auditor.

Source: CEA, CEA (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Amendment Regulations 2026, reg 122(M) (opens in a new tab) (Gazette, 30 March 2026).

Deliverable: Gap list & audit-readiness pack

  • Independent health check

Inspection, capacity and efficiency tests and a log review for systems in service, whoever installed them.

    Deliverable: Health-check report

Project roles

Electrical installation work is done and certified by licensed contractors and supervisors, as Tamil Nadu rules require.

Questions about consulting

No. Sometimes cutting contract demand, fixing power factor, moving a process or adding solar should come first, and a good study says when a battery will not pay.

Only if you want us to. As your independent consultant, we tell you in writing before quoting to supply, and you stay free to tender the work elsewhere.

12 months of bills, 15-minute meter data if your meter records it, your contract demand, single-line diagram, DG running hours, any solar data, and a site walk.

If it is connected above 650 V, the CEA's battery-storage safety chapter requires an independent fire-safety audit, with the report produced to the Electrical Inspector. We can review your system and prepare you for the audit.

Our base is Nagercoil. Delivery work centres on Tamil Nadu and Kerala; consulting can go wherever the project is.
